Initially self-taught, Álvarez Bravo’s style developed through study of foreign and local photography journals. Manuel Álvarez Bravo, photographer who was most noted for his poetic images of Mexican people and places. He was part of the artistic renaissance that occurred after the Mexican Revolution (–20).
Although he was influenced by international developments, notably Surrealism, his art remained. Presenting such a history is not easy: Latin America is immense and diverse. Early Latin Prosody. 59 first, a stoppage of a previously existing stream of breath by an arrangement of the organs which is characteristic for each letter (an implosion) ; second, a loosening of this stop (an explosion).
